We are a Community Interest company based at Ripon Community House on Allhallowgate in Ripon, North Yorkshire. We offer trauma-informed education and accredited training for others to help people living with adverse childhood experiences and the effects of trauma.
We are passionate about creating social change, educating others around interventions and approaches to support people dealing with the effects of psychological trauma and adverse childhood experiences. We exist because we recognise the disparity between mental and physical health, and trauma being a step further away.
In addition, we have a bespoke team of very experienced therapists who are able to offer a small amount of subsidised private therapy and activities for adults and children within the Harrogate and Rural Districts.
Therapy is available through referral and assessment only – please contact us to submit a referral.
As a community interest company we offer low cost entry to therapy (private adult therapy sessions are £45 a session and children are £25 per session). If you are unemployed or on a low wage we can help you fund these sessions or spread the cost over several weeks, if you are able to pay the full fee we would hugely appreciate this as our funding is limited.
Please note we are not a charity and cannot offer our services for free – we are approved by the Primary Care Networks (NHS and social prescribing) but our services are not free. We do offer some free outdoor activities which are funded by The National Lottery which compliment private therapy.
